Michael married Jan (Lauber) Smith in 1982 and she survives. He worked at Zimmer Biomet as a Tool and Die maker. Michael was a Masonite in the Mizpah Shrine. He was a handyman and loved working on his tractor and watching his four daughters ride and show horses. Michael loved his dogs, Kiaser and Manny and they were always by his side. Above all, he was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. Surviving are his children, Tara (Josh) Grate, Jamie (Josh) Miller, Cassie (Logan) Call, and Chelsey (Steven) Gawel; eight grandchildren, Brinley and Clayton Grate, Charlotte and Penelope Miller, Blake and Lincoln Call, Madelyn and Mason Gawel; and sisters, Peg Rainwater and Deb (Phil) Brown.
