Melissa Justine Townsend

Melissa was a dreamer, she loved to garden, and travel with friends to different events. She worked as a CNA at several health institutions and for Parkview Ronald McDonald House. She was a volunteer for SOS at Southern Heights Baptist Church and was a lifetime student.

She was a one of a kind well-loved person, one with an unforgettable smile with interrogation and no harm. She also loved to sing and had attended Fellowship Missionary Church.

She leaves to cherish her memory to her fiancé, Anthony Fields, and special friend, Mike Bischoff. She is also survived by her daughter, Alyssa Cannon, and her brothers, Seth, Tim and Cliff Townsend, along with a hosts of other family and friends.

Funeral service will be 12:00 PM Friday, August 25, 2023 at Oakridge Temple COGIC, 2808 Evans Street, Fort wayne, IN 46806. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
