Marlene Ann (Landrey) Tamalunas, 77, passed from this life into Heaven on Saturday, February 11, 2023. She was born in Long Beach, California on March 10, 1945. She moved to Battleground, Indiana at the age of six to be with family. Later, she moved to Wheaton, Illinois where she went to the Wheaton Academy and Wheaton High School. She graduated from the Chicago School of Dental Nursing. She married James L. Tamalunas on July 25, 1964. She worked for several dentists while traveling with Jim during the Air Force years. She has two sons, Jason James and Matthew Aaron. Her main role was a devoted wife and mother. Her main career was as a Super Market Services Human Resource Manager for 22 years. She participated in many Bible studies; she loved people and was always concerned for others welfare. She enjoyed life and loved gardening and the outdoors. She is survived by her brother, Dr. William (Joyce) Landrey of Claremont, California; husband James; two sons, Jason (Shelly) of Saudi Arabia, and Matt (Amy) of Davison, Michigan; and six grandchildren, Emma, Sarah, Jayda, Jake, Abby, and Luke. A celebration of life service will be 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 15, 2023 at Emmanuel Community Church, 12222 U.S. Highway 24 West, Fort Wayne, with a gathering of family and friends beginning at 10:00 a.m. Inurnment will be at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly, Michigan at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Emmanuel Community Church or Alzheimer's Foundation of America. Greenlawn Funeral Home, Fort Wayne are handling arrangements.
