Lucille "Lucy" E. (Huebner) Johnson, 80, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, November 16, 2022. Born on March 12, 1942, in Council Bluffs, Iowa, she was a daughter of the late Robert W. Huebner Sr. and Ann (Paludan) Huebner.
Lucy was a member of St. Michael’s Lutheran Church, Fort Wayne, and retired in 1998 from the Veterans Administration, after more than 17 years of service. She was an accomplished musician and an award winning pianist in her younger years.
Lucy is survived by her children, K. Thomas Ibholm, Paul E. (Jackeline) Johnson, Jennifer (Ritch Yount) Alm, Jacqueline K (Steve) Lewis, Karen A (Tom) Kohrman, and Camille R (Troy) Bartel; brother, Donald E Huebner; grandchildren, Allison, Kyle, Emily, Blake, Peyton, Bryce, Paul, Camille, Christopher, Molly, and Caroline; as well as three great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Roger Johnson, in 2000; and brother, Robert W Huebner II.
A Celebration of Life Gathering for family and friends to honor Lucy's life and legacy will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 pm on Saturday, November 19, 2022, at D.O. McComb and Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home, 8325 Covington Road, Fort Wayne. At a later date, she will be laid to rest at Covington Memorial Gardens, Fort Wayne.
