LARRY A. BONTEMPO, 63, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 31, 2015. Born March 7, 1951, he was a son of the late Robert and Annette (Alspach) Bontem po Sr. He was a graduate of South Side High School in 1969 and a graduate of International Business College. He also studied computer programming at IPFW. He was a member of Phi Kappa Rho. He was a poster child for the Allen County March of Dimes. He loved baseball and camping. Larry also enjoyed sports at a young age even after being diagnosed with polio. Surviving family include his siblings, Anna (Michael) Hardiek, Katherine (Joe) Baumgartner, Paul Bontempo, and Richard (Cindy) Bontempo; nieces and nephews, Donna Bender, Dean Bontempo, Andrea Bontempo, Annette Allison, David Baumgartner, Angela Thompson, Jason Bontempo, Courtney Bontempo, Clinton Bontempo, Laura Annis, Amy Bontempo, Valerie Seymore, Paula Bontempo-Mullins, Michael Hardiek Jr., Marcus Hardiek, Andrew Hardiek, Nicholas Hardiek, Norman Hardiek, Jeffery Seale, Joshua Seale, Drew Bontempo, and Christine Bontempo; 25 great nieces and great nephews; and one great-great-nephew. He was also preceded in passing by his siblings, Robert Bontempo Jr., Stephen Bontempo and Wendy Seale; and nephew, Christopher Vebert. A private family service will be held at a later date. Inurnment will take place at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Visiting Nurse at www.vnfw.org.
