John "Joe" Joseph Mizzell

JOHN JOSEPH "JOE" or "JOJO" MIZZELL, 45, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2022. He was born in Fort Wayne on Sept. 6, 1977. Joe was diagnosed with stage 4 esophageal cancer in June. His faith never wavered. He never complained. Joe's never-ending selflessness and faith is an inspiration to all who were blessed to have known him. Joe always had a smile. Always offered a helping hand. He remembered birthdays and special moments and rejoiced in your accomplishments. He was a devoted son and brother. He will be forever missed by his surviving family: parents, John and Tamera Mizzell of Fort Wayne; brother, Timothy (Darlene) Mizzell of Fort Wayne; twin brother, Phillip Mizzell of Fort Wayne; sister, Andrea (Les) Nivens of Rome City; nephews, Wiatt Mizzell of Fort Wayne and Aidan (Lindsay) Mizzell of New Haven; nieces, Sierra Mizzell of New Haven, Miranda Mizzell of Fort Wayne, Estella, Elaina, and Eleanor Nivens of Rome City; and three great- nephews. A Celebration of Life service is noon Friday, Nov. 11, 2022, at Hoagland Community Church, 11104 Hoagland Road, Hoagland, Indiana, with Pastor Todd Buckmaster officiating. Calling from 10 to noon.
