Jean A Hartman

Jean Anne (McAllister) Hartman, 65, passed away on Saturday, January 2, 2021 at home in Fort Wayne, IN attended by family. She was born August 24, 1955 in La Porte, IN to the late Gene and Diane (Stanton) McAllister. Graduated from Bishop Dwenger (1973); received her BSW from Ball State (1977) and a MSW from IUPUI (1981). She married Rick Hartman in 1981 and he survives. Also surviving are her sons, David (Rachel) and Derek (Katie); daughter, Jessica (Brandon) Weaver; and granddaughters, Kyra, Alexis, and Penny. She worked as a hospital social worker for Lutheran and St. Joe, becoming disabled with multiple auto immune diseases in 2009. Jean was preceded in death by her brother, Thomas McAllister (1971). Funeral service 10:00 am, Monday, January 11, 2021 at D.O. McComb and Sons Maplewood Park with visitation a half hour prior the service. Visitation also from 2:00pm to 6:00pm Sunday, January 10, 2021 at D.O. McComb and Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home. Burial in Highland Park Cemetery at a later date.
