Janice Cecelia Swartz

Janice (Blume) Swartz, age 88, passed away on April 22, 2023 in Glendale Arizona. She was born on December 29, 1934 in Fort Wayne, Indiana, to Mildred and Homer Blume. She graduated from Leo High School. Janice married Noah J. Swartz, Jr. in August of 1957. She worked and then later retired at International Harvester. Janice was a member of the Taylor Chapel United Methodist Church, 4H and ABWA. She enjoyed traveling and flying with Noah. She especially loved music. Janice is survived by her daughter, Diana Swartz; a granddaughter, Abigail Swartz, both of Phoenix, AZ. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mildred and Homer Blume; her husband, Noah J. Swartz, Jr. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 9th, 2023 from 5:00- 7:00 PM at D.O. McComb & Sons Funeral Homes - Maplewood Park, 4017 Maplecrest Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46815. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 10th, 2023 at 1:00 PM at D.O. McComb & Sons Funeral Homes - Maplewood Park with one hour of visitation prior to the service. Burial to follow funeral service at Bowers Cemetery, 9101 Stellhorn Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46815. In lieu of flowers please make any memorial contributions to the Alzheimer’s Association.
