Jane Platt, 75, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Saturday, March 22, 2025. Born in Elyria, Ohio on May 7, 1949 to the late Harry Ditslear Jr. and Lucille (Heinze) Lamott. Jane worked at Scott's/Kroger in a variety of positions for over 46 years. She enjoyed her work, gardening, cooking, and traveling.
Jane is survived by her son, David Platt; daughter, Kristina (Daniel) Kiracofe; grandchildren, Andrew, Jameson, Kaitlyn Kiracofe, Justin, Nichole, and Jackie Platt; sister, Nan (Ned) Smith; numerous nieces and nephews; and her beloved cat, Missy. She was also preceded in passing by her brothers, Jim, Paul and Brad Ditslear; sister, Diane Crowell; and daughter-in-law, Maia Platt.
A memorial service for Jane will be held at 3:00 pm on Friday, April 11, 2025 at Greenlawn Funeral Home, 6750 Covington Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46804, with visitation beginning at 1:00 pm. Contributions in Jane's memory may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
