Jane K Gillian

Jane Kathryn (Conrad) Gillian, 89, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Milwaukee, WI on June 5, 1931, daughter of the late Gladys and Alvin Conrad. She was a 1949 graduate of South Side High School. Jane enjoyed volunteering at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church, walking, sewing, knitting, crocheting, camping, traveling, jigsaw puzzles, and most of all; spending time with her family and friends. She will be deeply missed and her memory will be forever treasured by family and friends. Surviving her are daughters, Kathy (John) Gardlik and Karen (Ray) Auker; son, Ken Gillian; grandchildren, Matt, Mark (Erin), Rebecca (Andrew), Cory, Laura, and Samuel; great grandchildren, Ruthie, Alan, Grace, and Colin; sister, Jean Dray; brother, Don Conrad; and many other family members and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Robert Gillian; grandson, Michael; sister, Judy Zoller; and brother, Jack Conrad. A Celebration of Life service will be held Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at 1:30 PM at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church, 1819 Reservation Dr., Fort Wayne, IN 46819 with visitation one hour prior. The Service will be Live Streamed on the funeral home’s Facebook page. Visitation will also be on Monday, March 8, 2021 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the church. State required mask wearing and social distancing will be adhered to. Burial will be at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Preferred memorials in honor of Jane’s memory may be made to Visiting Nurse and Hospice Home or Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church.
