James C. “Jim” White, 86, of Fort Wayne passed away on Saturday, February 5, 2022. He was born on March 31, 1935 in Fort Wayne, a son of the late Clayton and Pearl (Dunn) White. He was the owner / operator and bartender of a number of local bars and taverns. He loved to watch and talk about sports. His favorites to watch were the Cubs, Colts, and IU athletics. He also enjoyed golfing in his free time. Surviving family include his wife, Elizabeth “Liz” Hill; children, Pamela Brock and Robert (Tammy) Canfield of Fort Wayne, Mitchell White, Tammy Clarke and Anitra (Brian) Eves of Florida, and Tyrone (Anna) White of Texas; 20 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; sister, Joyce Wyss; and brother, Gary White. Besides his parents, he was preceded in passing by children, Jimi White, Jr., James “Jimmy” White, Jr., and Robert White. Visitation will be from 11:00 to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 19, 2022 at Greenlawn Funeral Home, 6750 Covington Road, Fort Wayne with a celebration of life gathering from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Coyote Creek Golf Course, 4935 Hillegas Road, Fort Wayne.
