Geraldine H. "Peggy" Flathau, 96, formerly from Battle Creek, MI, passed away on Monday, February 2, 2015 in Butler, IN. Born December 14, 1918 in Battle Creek, the daughter of Lloyd and Beulah (Matthies) Clifford. She married Jack Flathau on July 8, 1939, and together they enjoyed golfing and spending time with family. They also lived in Zephyrhills, FL, for several years. Peggy worked in the Advertising Dept. at Sears & Roebuck Co., was a realtor with York Real Estate, and spent several years at Marty's Ceramic Shop. Peggy enjoyed ceramic painting, arts and crafts and was a life member of Beta Sigma Phi sorority. Her family was her whole life and her most treasured memories were made with them.
She is survived by her sons, John (Karen) Flathau of Grabill, Ind., and Brent (Doryan) Flathau of Renton, WA; her daughter, Sue (Bill) Dickey of Madeira Beach, FL; four grandchildren; five great grandsons & one great granddaughter; five step-grandchildren; 13 step great grandchildren; three nieces; two great-nephews and special friend, Luann Flathau. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brothers Gerald Clifford and Vern Clifford.
