Esther Audrey Nofzinger

Esther Audrey Nofzinger (Maginnis), aged 87, of Fort Wayne, IN passed away on July 4, 2024 surrounded by her family. Esther was born on July 31,1936 in Auburn, IN. She graduated from Butler High School.

Esther Nofzinger was a woman full of life and love. She would always be ready for a good laugh and radiated with warmth.

To her, family was everything. For some, a mom who would sing along, a mom who would never miss an opportunity to be with her children or a mom who would pretend a mud pie was a chocolate pie. For some, she was a grandma, master egg cooker and chocolate malt maker. She never left home without a rain hat and could always be counted on to have Certs and chocolates.

Her love of family was not just limited to those related by blood. For years, she was a housekeeper to a few families. For her it was not just a job, but people that she knew and cared for.

Though her smile and song will be missed, we are blessed to know that she is in heaven with her beloved husband and partner, LeRoy Nofzinger, who preceded her in death.

Esther is survived by her sister Janet and her brother Oliver. She is also survived by her 4 children; David, Sheryl, Gerry and Vicki, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Services will be held on July 13th at Northridge Baptist Church located at 1300 E Cook Rd, Fort Wayne, IN. Visitation will start at 10 am with services at 11 am. The service will also be available online by going to Church Online | Northridge Baptist Church (nridgebaptist.com).
