Elizabeth "Beth" Rose Armstrong

Elizabeth “Beth” Rose Armstrong, 58, of Fort Wayne, IN passed away on Friday, May 3, 2019 at her home. She was born on July 27, 1960 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to the late Eugene and Marilyn (Larson) Pitra. Beth married Ronald Armstrong on October 25, 1985 in Fort Wayne where they made a home for 33 years. She worked at Blackhawk Ministries for over 20 years, serving the church as a Visual Arts and Communications Director and volunteering in many other settings. Beth enjoyed traveling with her family, sitting in sunshine, and reading. Survivors include her husband, Ron Armstrong, 4 children; Casie Towsley, Annastacia (Brent) Davidson, Abby (Christopher) Scott, Sadie Armstrong, 8 grandchildren, 3 siblings; Joseph (Susie) Pitra, Rosemarie Defiel, Ruth Kane, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 11, 2019 at 1:00pm with calling one hour prior from 12pm-1:00pm at Blackhawk Ministries 7400 East State Blvd, Fort Wayne, IN 46815. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 10, 2019 from 4:00pm-7:00pm at Blackhawk Ministries. Memorial donations may be directed to the American Cancer Society.
