Donna L. Stier

Donna L. Stier, 81, of New Haven, passed away on December 25, 2016. Born on October 16, 1935, in Rome City, she was a daughter of the late Monard and Noreen Vance; and a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, New Haven.

She is survived by her daughters, Denice (Dean) Bender, Jacquelyn (Robert) Knapp and Cynthia (Dave) Hakes; Sons, Russell (Amy) Stier, Ronald Stier, Brian (Maureen) Stier and Mark (Donnell) Stier; 20 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Gerald L. “Jerry” Stier; daughter-in-law, Cheryl Stier; grandson, David Stier; sisters, Margaret Crisswell and Diana Sloan; brother, David Vance.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30am Thursday, December 29, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 942 Powers Street, New Haven, with calling one hour prior, Fr. Bill Sullivan, Officiating. Calling will also be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm, Wednesday, December 28, at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road, Fort Wayne, with a vigil service at 3:30pm.
