Donald Edward Wood, 74, of Fort Wayne left this life to be with Jesus, Sunday, December 15, 2024 at his home. Don was born December 5, 1950 in Fort Wayne to Eldon and Florine (Hoppas) Wood. Don was a very kind, generous and friendly person who loved helping and talking to people. He enjoyed watching football, golf and shooting his guns. He was a member of the NRA and Christ’s Community Church. Most importantly, Don loved Jesus. He gave his life to Christ in 2019 and was very instrumental in his sister, Jean’s return to Jesus. He is survived by two sons, Matthew Wood and Aaron Wood; several grandchildren and a sister, Jean Dunfee. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Judi Wood and Julie Wood. A funeral service celebrating Don’s life will be 1:00 pm, Saturday, December 21, 2024 at Christ’s Community Church, 10616 Liberty Mills Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46804; Pastor Mike Daling will officiate. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, Saturday at Christ’s Community Church. A private burial will be at Concordia Cemetery in Fort Wayne. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to Christ’s Community Church.
