Don R. Rhodenbaugh, 85, of Roanoke, formerly of Fort Wayne, passed away Friday, July 22, 2022 at his residence. He was born on July 3, 1937 in Van Wert, Ohio to the late Earl and Mildred (Mason) Rhodenbaugh. On September 22, 1956, He married Varlene Gordon, and together raised two sons, Terry and Douglas. Mr. Rhodenbaugh worked as a self-employed Sales Representative. Don was a member of North East Indiana Muscular Dystrophy Association, National Model Railroad Association, and the Illinois Railway Museum. He enjoyed model trains and loved to spend time with his family, especially his grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Varlene Rhodenbaugh; a son, Terry (Patricia) Rhodenbaugh; grandchildren, Eric (Crystal) Rhodenbaugh, Ashley Green, and Heather Caudill; great-grandchildren, Gracie, Ericka, Katlynn, Quincy, Lennox, Tessa, Wyatt, and Garrett; and a sister, Hazel Garwood. Also preceding Don in Death were a son, Douglas Rhodenbaugh; and a sister, Carolyn Garwood. Funeral Services will be Wednesday, July 27, 2022 at 1 PM at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 Saint Joe Road, Fort Wayne. Calling will be two hours before the service.
