Clifford S George, 91, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Sunday, January 29, 2023, only three days after his beloved wife of over 66 years, Bonnie M (Hull) George who passed away on Thursday, January 26, 2023. Born on August 25, 1931, in Fort Wayne, he was a son of the late Harold E and Jeanethlan A (Mohler) George. He was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church, Fort Wayne, and was a longtime member of the Fort Wayne Turners, and was a 50 year member of the F&a Masonic Lodge, and donated more than 30 gallons of blood at the Red Cross. He proudly served his country in the Air Force, enlisting at the age of 15. He worked for Dana Corp and retired in 1996, after more than 41 years of service.
He is survived by his daughters, Holly L (Brad) Maxwell, and Deena K (Mike) Sumwalt; sons, Kelly M (Janet) George, and Allan S George; sister, Phyllis J Hurt; as well as 10 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Charlene Hale; and brother, Harold E George Jr.
Funeral service will be 1:00pm, Monday, February 6, 2023, at D.O. McComb and Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Road, Fort Wayne, with calling from 11:00am, until time of service. Burial will be in Concordia Cemetery Gardens, Fort Wayne. Memorial donations may be given to Red Cross, or Fortune Academy.
