Charlotte A. “Char” Holbrook, 72, of rural Roanoke went to be with her Lord surrounded by her family on Saturday, June 20, 2020. She was born on June 12, 1948 in Clarksdale, Mississippi, a daughter of the late Alton and Grace (Pilgrim) Bowman. She worked as an office manager at Howard Graphic Arts for 15 years, several years as an antique dealer, and as an entrepreneur along with her husband in mobile homes and rental properties. In her free time she enjoyed genealogy, collecting pottery, and especially spending time with her family. She was happy to return to where she grew up to attend her grade school reunion when she was able. Surviving family include her husband, John Holbrook; children, Ron and Michael (Susie) Holbrook, and Karen (Sam) Gillie; seven grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. Besides her parents, she was preceded in passing by her sister, Linda Gayle Gratto. Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 24, 2020 at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Home, 6424 Winchester Rd., Fort Wayne with visitation two hours prior. Visitation will also be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, June 23, 2020 at the funeral home. The family requests that masks be worn. Burial will be in Hoverstock Cemetery, Zanesville. Memorials may be made to Zanesville United Methodist Church or Heartland Hospice.
