Charles E. Hoover (Chuck) 94 of Fort Wayne, IN went to his Heavenly home, Oct 29 at Canterbury nursing home. He was born Jan 29, 1928, in Wabash, IN to the late Emil & Anna (Myers) Hoover. He graduated from Linlawn High School class of 1946. He served in the US Marine Corps as a security guard for the Atomic Energy Commission at Fort Chicago Navel Magazine, Concord, CA. He married Bertha Collins on May 8, 1958 at College Corner Church, Wabash Co. He was a maintenance Engineer at Ramada Inn. He also worked at Williamsburg Apts. After retirement he worked part time at Cardinal Health. He was a member of Oak Park Church, formerly Westridge Baptist, where in his younger years was a deacon, treasurer, and did the maintenance.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, son Randy (Tina) Hoover, Ft Wayne, IN, 6 grandchildren: Hope (Gustavo) Garcia, Billy Frederick, Harlan, IN, Mike Ferraro, Idaho, Vennessa (Dalton) Keel, Utah, AJ (Maddie) Hoover, Roanoke & Jaden Hoover Ft Wayne., 10 Great grandchildren, 1 Great Great granddaughter. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Kimberly, son Rodney, 1 grandchild Jay, 3 brothers, Richard, Gene, & Larry.
A memorial service will be held at Oak Park Church 14922, 1llinois Road, Fort Wayne at 2:00 pm Sat., November 5, with visitation prior to the service from 1:00-2:00. Preferred memorials to Promedica hospice or Oak Park Deacons fund. Arrangements have been entrusted to D.O. McComb and Sons Covington Knolls
