Barbara Jean White

Barbara Jean White, 82, a lifelong Ft. Wayne resident passed away Friday, September 5, 2014. She was born February 20, 1932 to Loraine and Carroll Long. On February 16th 1952 she was united in marriage to Gary R. White. Barbara lived life to the fullest. She loved to laugh while spending time with her family. She enjoyed traveling, dancing, riding motorcycles, fishing, bird watching and card club. Her favorite travel destination was South Padre Island, Texas where she enjoyed walking on the beach looking for shells and spending winters with her loving husband Gary. She was a member of Waynedale Baptist Church where she served to help others in the community. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Gary; 3 children, Lana (Gary) Brautzsch, Cindi (Joe) Riddle, Laura (Brandon) Faucett; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; 3 sisters, Carolyn Walchle, Pam Hughes and Deb Cowan. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother Ron Long. Funeral 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 10 at Waynedale Baptist Church, 633 Lower Huntington Rd, Fort Wayne, IN 46819, with visitation an hour prior.
