Anita Koenemann, 89, of Urbana, Ohio, formerly of Fort Wayne, died on Saturday September 22. The Ossian native was the daughter of the late Rudolf and Lena Werling, and retired in 1984 from General Electric. She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church, Fort Wayne, and an associate member of Messiah Lutheran Church, Urbana, Ohio. She was active in Comfort Knotting, rummage sales, and school supplies for kids. She is survived by her children: Glenn Koenemann, Karen (Dave) Adams, Sandy Koenemann, and Julie Koenemann; Seven Grandchildren; 19 Great-Grandchildren; Sister, Thelma Yager; Ten Nieces and Nephews, and many friends. Funeral service will be held at 11 AM Wednesday, September 26, at Peace Lutheran Church, 4900 Fairfield Ave., Fort Wayne, with calling one hour prior at church. Burial will be at Covington Memorial Gardens, Fort Wayne. Calling will also be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM on Tuesday, September 25, at Klaehn, Fahl and Melton Funeral Homes Winchester Road Chapel, 6424 Winchester Road, Fort Wayne. Memorial contributions may be given to Peace Lutheran Church, Fort Wayne or Messiah Lutheran ChurchSchool Supplies for Kids, Urbana.
