Stephanie Courtney

Stephanie was born on March 25, 1973 in Helena, AR. She is survived by her husband, Paul; her three children and their spouses, Duncan and Kim, Amber, Theran, and Ashley and Garrett; and her five grandchildren, Raime, Caden, Jace, Nahla, and ‘Ainyeh; as well as her expected grandson, Mason.

Stephanie attended Central High School in Helena and later went on to graduate from University of Arkansas with a bachelors in Education and a certification to teach Special Education. She was known for her dedication to her students at Van Buren and was a great source of strength, inspiration, and kindness. Her unwavering commitment to supporting the unique needs of each of her students left and indelible impact that will continue to resonate.

As we celebrate Stephanie’s life we remember not only her dedication to her students, but most importantly the constant love, resilience, and support that she gave to her family every day. Stephanie was a beloved partner to her husband and best friend, Paul. She and Paul could often be found sharing their favorite pastime of fishing where they enjoyed the peace and serenity of nature together.

Stephanie’s legacy will always live on in those who love her, the lives that she has touched, and the many hearts that she warmed throughout her life.
