Richard Lee Becker

Richard Lee Becker, 76, of Greenwood, passed away Thursday, October 11, 2012. He was born December 7, 1935 in Hartman, Arkansas. He was a retired Diesel Mechanic from Diesel Service Company Inc. in Fort Smith. He attended the Baptist Church. He is a volunteer fire fighter and former Assistant Fire Chief for the Milltown/Washburn Fire Department and a Veteran of the United States Army.

Graveside funeral service will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, October 16, 2012, at the Pavilion at Fort Smith National Cemetery with Pastor Dan Williams Officiating. Burial will be at Fort Smith National Cemetery with Military Honors under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.

He is survived by his wife of fifty-five years Velma, two sons Mike Becker and wife Mona of Fort Smith, AR and Bill Becker and wife Freida of Fort Smith, AR, one sister Mary Ann Chance of Turner Bend, AR, three brothers Billy Becker of Alma, AR, Raymond Becker of Alix, AR and Wayne Becker of Ozark, AR, ten grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

The family will visit with friends Monday evening from 6:00 PM-7:30 PM at Edwards Funeral Home.
