She was born in Van Buren, AR in 1948 to Levi Newton and Esther Denton Hillman, and was the youngest of their eight daughters. Sue attended Van Buren High School graduating in 1966, and in the support of improving her position for her family she always pursued opportunities to grow, including attending Pasco-Hernando Community College while raising 3 young kids and Cleveland State Community College.
Sue was preceded in death by sisters Opal Tanner, Juanita Key, Bernice Bodine, Ruby Roberts, Christine Armer, Mary Vaughn, and is survived by her loving husband Brian Watson Kear, Tina Michelle Lasiter/Daughter, Darrell Victor Kear/Son, Mark Justin Kear/Son and Jean Richmond/Sister.
From her kids, “Moms relentless support of us kids made us who we are today, we can all go forward and be proud of who we are today. We will always love you!”
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Fort Smith.
