Paul Mathews

Paul Mathews, 82, of Arkoma, OK, passed away Thursday, December 1, 2011, in Fort Smith. He was born February 23, 1929 in Redland, OK. He was retired from Acme Laundry. He was retired from the Arkoma Civil Defense and Volunteer Fire Department. He was an Air Force Veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was preceded in death by his wife Irene, mother Pearl Mathews, father Earl Mathews, two brothers Donald and Dale Mathews and two sisters Margaret Bray and Kathern King.

Funeral service will be 11:00 AM Saturday, December 3, 2011, at Woodlawn Memorial Park Cemetery Chapel with Pastor Gary Brown officiating. Burial with Military Honors will be at Woodlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home in Fort Smith, AR.

He is survived by two sons James Mathews of Roland, OK and Marvin Mathews and wife Brenda of Chattanooga, TN, three sisters Doris Bostwich of Yukon, OK, Sue White of Midwest City, OK and Loretta Allison of Fort Smith, AR, one brother Charles Mathews of Fort Smith, AR, one grandson and two great grandsons.
