Martha S Nichols

Martha S. Nichols, 70, of Fort Smith, passed from this life October 29, 2015 in Fort Smith. Martha was born October 5, 1945, in Fort Smith, to the late James and Mildred Thornburg Bynum. She attended Community Church at Chaffee Crossing and was a homemaker.

Martha is survived by her son, Tony Nichols of Fort Smith; her daughter, Patricia Mainard and her husband Gary of Denning, Arkansas; five brothers, David Couch of Van Buren, Arkansas, Roger Bynum of Little Rock, Arkansas, Wayne Bynum of Hackett, Arkansas, Jimmie Bynum of Greenwood, Arkansas and Alan Bynum of Stillwater, Oklahoma; two sisters, Flora Mae Herod of Kemper, Texas and Edith Ann Wiggly of Charleston, Arkansas; one grandchild and two great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Rex Nichols, a daughter, Stephanie Sue McIndoe and two brothers Benny Bynum and Phillip Fleming.

Funeral services will be 10:30am Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at Community Church at Chaffee Crossing with burial to follow at U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith. The family will visit with friends from 5:00 to 7:00pm Monday, November 2, 2015 at Edwards Funeral Home. Services are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
