Jean Allen McDaniel

Jean Allen McDaniel, 76, of Muldrow, OK, went to be with her Lord January 16, 2014. She was born April 6, 1937 in Fort Smith to James Allen and Edith Eleanor (Coleman) Brown. Jean was a member of First Baptist Church, Muldrow, OK where she served as secretary for many years. She loved her church family and she loved The Lord. Jean was a very thankful person and not one to complain and she was fun-loving with a great sense of humor. Jean loved being with her family and was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Peggy Lynn Hively. She is survived by her husband, Lamar “Bud” McDaniel, and in 58 years of marriage they have traveled the world together. She is also survived by one daughter, Terrie Robinson and her husband Bob of Muldrow; one son, James “Jay” Lamar McDaniel and his wife Jacquie of Richmond, CA; five grandchildren, Ellie Schulz and her husband Brian, Lauren Surkamer, Luke Robinson and his wife Jen, Jakob McDaniel and his wife Lilly, and Jascha McDaniel. Jean was also survived by her eleven great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be 11:30 A.M. Monday, January 20, 2014, at First Baptist Church in Muldrow, OK under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home. Burial will be in U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith. Visitation will be Sunday, January 19, 2014, from 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM at Edwards Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be: Brian Schulz, Bob and Luke Robinson, Joe, Robert, and Jay McDaniel.
