Frank A. Hug Sr.

Frank A. Hug Sr., 80 died peacefully at home July 8, 2017. He was born Nov. 18, 1936 to the late Frank J. and Margaret Hug. He attended St. Boniface School and graduated from St. Anne’s Academy of Fort Smith and St. Benedict’s College, Atchison, Kansas. He was the retired owner and operator of Hug Chevrolet Co. of Charleston. Frank was a member of Christ the King Church, past member and president of Holy Name Society, member of Knights of Columbus, past president and charter member of FSAAC, and member of VCCA.

Rosary will be recited Tuesday July 11th at 6:30 pm at Christ the King Catholic Church with visitation to follow at the Christ the King Parish Center. Funeral mass will be Wednesday July 12th , 10:00 am at Christ the King Catholic Church with Inurnment at a later date at Christ the King Columbarium. Services are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.

He is survived by his wife Kitty of 57 years ; his children, Kathy Rogers and husband Michael of Muldrow, Oklahoma, Frank Jr. and wife Debbie of Fort Smith, Jennifer Tull and husband Jim of Rogers, Michael and wife Kellye of Orlando, Betsi Long and husband Paul of Tulsa, Cyndi Hug of Fort Smith, and Edward and wife Katie of Fort Smith, one sister, Mary Hug of Clifton, Texas and one brother, William Hug and wife Susan of Jacksonville, Alabama.

Grandchildren: Katie Rogers, Maggie Rogers, Emma Hug, Alex Hug, Madison Tull, Ashleigh Pargeon , Keifer Tull, Matthew Hug, Emily Hug, Mallory Hug, Madeline Hug, Paul Long II, Meshauna Long, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Kenneth Dennis, Andy Hug, Vincent Hug, Mike Moellers, Jimmy Sargent, Mike Schwartz and Robert Zeiler.

Honorary pallbearers will be Raymond Ahlert, Clyde Chaney, Jim Fern, Bob Guertz, Jerry Hassler, Will Schmitz, John Zeiler, and the Fort Smith Antique Auto Club.
