Donna Joy Beattie

Donna was a beautiful and loving wife that devoted her life to her children and surrounded them with love. Her family was always her top priority. A loving sister, Aunt and Great Aunt, Donna’s smile, laughter and love was the center of our family.

Her kindness and generosity towards others knew no boundaries. In her last years we were often told that she tried to be the caregiver for others, always making sure everyone was ok and making them feel special with a compliment or just a smile. Her middle name Joy was perfect because she brought so much Joy to so many.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 54 years Tony R. Beattie, her mother Lela Peek and brother Joe Bill Peek.

Donna is survived by her loving family, son Mark Beattie, daughter Pamela Smith (Dave, husband), Sisters Reta Yowell (Bill, husband) and Marjorie Dunn (Leon, late husband) along with several nieces and nephews she dearly loved.

May you rest in peace with your lord and savior, your husband and mother by your side. You will be deeply missed and you will forever and always be in our hearts.

Visitation will be held at Edwards Funeral Home Friday June 10, 2022 from 5:00 to 7:00PM. A memorial Service will be held at Fort Smith United Methodist Church in the Roebuck Chapel Saturday, June 11, 2022 at 4:00PM. A private burial will be held at an earlier time at Roselawn Cemetery.

The family requests memorials be made to the Arkansas Chapter Alzheimer’s Association or the Fort Smith United Methodist Church.
