Dao Le Dang

We mourn the loss of our loving mother, Dao Le Dang who departed us on Sunday, October 6, 2024 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Although this leaves a great void to all those who loved and were loved by her, we rejoice that she is in the arms of our Heavenly Father.

Mom was a dedicated wife, selfless mother and grandmother, and a loving daughter and sister.

She was born on July 11,1950 to her late father Thang Ba Le and late mother Hue Thi Nguyen.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Pastor Peter Vui Dang and her beloved children: Kevin Huy Dang (Valerie-Truc) & their 4 children; Bao Dang (Tran) & their soon-to-be 9 children; Jeffrey Binh Dang (Karen) & their 4 children; Cindy Tram Nguyen (Tu) & their 3 children; her brother Lang Le (Tuyet) & their children; her sister Ha Le Hoang (Phu) & their daughters.

Mom was an exemplary woman of faith, who simply feared and loved the Lord. She was faithful in reading God’s Word daily and in praying for each of her children and grandchildren by their names. Jesus was her Rock of comfort and strength. She loved being with her family and celebrating the numerous birthdays & events that always came around due to her quiver full of grandchildren. Besides loving her family, mom had a green thumb in gardening. She had a way of reviving dead plants, namely orchids, that others found hopeless. Her vegetables and fruit trees often grew in abundance. Mom also had a heart for cooking. She often made special dishes and shared them with her children and friends. She will be deeply missed by her family and all who have known her.

Visitation: Friday, October 18 between 5-7 pm at Edwards Funeral Home 201 N. 12th St., Fort Smith, AR 72901.

Funeral Service: Saturday, October 19, 10:00 am at Oak Cliff Baptist Church 3701 S. Gary St., Fort Smith, AR 72903.

Burial Service: Saturday, October 19, 11:30 am at Oak Cemetery 1401 S. Greenwood Ave., Fort Smith, AR 72901.
