Our Cindy, Cynthia Anne Sagely, was born October 8, 1956 at Fort Sill, Lawton, Oklahoma to Floyd Eugene Sagely, Sr. and Jimmie Lou Anderson Sagely. A blessing, she filled our lives with love and laughter.
She departed this life February 27, 2021 at age 64 in North Little Rock, AR in her home which she loved and where she felt at peace. After describing to us how the light looked coming through the trees in the early morning as she sat drinking her coffee in her grandfather’s swing, “Oh, it's so beautiful”.
Cindy graduated from Southside High School, where she was Football Homecoming Queen, Miss Dixie Belle and a cheerleader. She attended the University of Arkansas where she was on the First Razorback Pom-Pom Squad, Razorback homecoming court, and a Razorback Beauty. She graduated from the University of Arkansas, Little Rock. At one time she owned her own advertising agency. Later, she designed leather clothing and belts adorned with semi-precious stones that were sold at Nordstrom’s, as well as other department stores and boutiques. Antler Works of Arkansas was her greatest pride and achievement where she designed and created unique chandeliers, lamps, tables, candelabras, etc. from deer, elk, and moose antlers. These graced homes and businesses from coast to coast. She was happiest when she was creating something beautiful. She also expressed herself on canvases and in poetry.
She is survived by her parents, Floyd and Jimmie Sagely; brother, Floyd Eugene Sagely, Jr.; adored nephews, Weston Floyd Sagely and Colton Anderson Sagely; and many beloved cousins and friends.
There will be a private family service on Saturday, March 6, 2021, at Edwards Funeral Chapel with Ed Saucier officiating. Interment at Oak Cemetery under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
