Blanche P. Glenn Tinder, 87, of Fort Smith passed away Tuesday June 13, 2017. She was born January 15, 1930 in Denver, CO to the late Joseph Loyd Phelps and Ruth Mae Arvin Phelps. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. She was active in the community serving on the State Democratic Committee, Fort Smith School Board, Sparks Auxiliary, PTA, Girl Scouts of America, Immaculate Conception Catholic Church Women’s Auxiliary and others. She was preceded in death by her husband’s, Dr. Clarence L. Glenn and Billy Tinder; her son, Joseph D. Glenn; and stepdaughter, Becky Eversole.
Visitation will be Sunday from 5:00 PM-6:00 PM at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with a Rosary to follow at 6:00 PM at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel.
Funeral mass will be Monday at 10:00 AM at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with burial to follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
She is survived by her daughter, Linda Glenn Campbell and her husband Jack of Hackett, AR; her son, Allen Glenn and wife Becky of Fort Smith, AR; her sister, Nancy P. Short of Fort Smith, AR; her stepchildren, Susie Billingsley of Hixon, TN and Steve Tinder of Van Buren, AR; fifteen grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
