Betty Frances Neal

Betty Frances Neal, 86, of Fort Smith, AR died August 17, 2021 in Fort Smith. She was born July 13, 1935 in Bradley County, Arkansas to Woodrow Armstrong and Beulah Hall Armstrong. Frances was a 1953 graduate of Warren high School. She worked for Southwestern Bell as a Telephone Operator then she went to work for Arkansas Best Freight, Arkansas Best Corporation and retired after working at the family business, John H. Neal, Inc. Truck Lines. Frances was a longtime member of Rye Hill Baptist Church in Fort Smith.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John H. Neal; sister, Ruth Armstrong; two brothers, Billy and Joe Armstrong.

Frances is survived by one daughter, Katie McCright and husband Rodney of Fort Smith; two sons, John A. Neal of Poteau, OK, Michael Neal and wife Stephanie of Fort Smith; five grandchildren, James Hoffman, Jonathan Griffin, Shawn Neal, Piper Neal and Rachel Phillips; six great grandchildren, Parker, JT, Hanna, Madison, Eli and Will; one sister, Deborah Carpenter and husband Randy of Warren, AR; one brother, Herschel Armstrong and wife Catherine of Warren, AR; numerous nieces and nephews that loved her very much.
