Barbara Jean Stockton Born, 67, of Lavaca, departed this life on Thursday, May 12, 2016. She was born in Charleston, Arkansas July 27, 1948. She was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Myrtle Cope and two brothers, Mike Stockton and John Cope.
She is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Tom Born; three daughters, Dianna Hicks, Kelly Larson and Tabitha Mills; five sisters, Sue Barnard, Ruth Stuham, Mary Sexton, Kaye LaMarr and Maye Komatz; one brother, Charles Cope; eight grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be 11:00am Monday, May 16, 2016 at Mayberry Cemetery in Central City with Brian LaMarr officiating. Services are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Charles Cope, Adam Mills, Sherman Hicks, Jr., Greg Larson, Ben Scott , Tom Hughes and Mike Born. Honorary pallbearers will be Phillip Albertson, Jim Adamson and Glen Grogan.
