She was predeceased by her husband Nick in 1968, son-in-law Bill Tyman, five sisters and four brothers.
Left to cherish her memory are her children Marlene (Bob) Waldegger, Lionel (Helen) Bolen, Adele (Mel) Rusteika, Joanne (Court) Linford, Helene (Ed) Bespalko and Gloria Tyman; 26 grandchildren, 73 great grandchildren and 12 great great grandchildren; siblings Edward Janis, Helen Graham, Lawrence (Eveline) Janis, Eleanor Balabuck; sisters in law Lillian Zech, Irene Bolen, Clara Janis and Helen Bolen as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Edith was born on May 4, 1916 in the Glen Bain district. On October 25, 1938 she married Nick Bolen and together they raised a family of 1 son and 5 daughters. They first farmed near Gravelbourg, SK and in June of 1949 moved to Leross, SK to continue farming. Due to Nicks failing health they moved to Fort Qu'Appelle in September of 1968 where shortly after he passed away on November 21, 1968. Edith sold her house in the fall of 1994 but continued to reside in Fort Qu'Appelle until her move to Regina in the spring of 2008 and back to the Fort in July of 2010. Her final move in April of 2011 took her to Echo Lodge where she resided till her passing.
