Shannon was born in Racine, WI. He has been a resident of the Treasure Coast for over 40 years, coming from Miami Florida.
Prior to retirement Shannon was a painting contractor owning his own business for 50 years. He was also a firefighter for the city of Miami.
He was a veteran of WWII serving in the US Navy.
Survivors include his wife of 26 years, Alice Page of Port St. Lucie; daughter Gail Kehoe (Mark) of Byfield, MA and grandson Adam James Kehoe.
A visitation will be held from 1:00pm-2:00pm on Saturday September 1, 2012 at Aycock Funeral Home, Fort Pierce, FL with a chapel service at 2:00pm, Interment and military honors to follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
