Dear Heather and family members...so very sorry to hear of Suzanne's passing.  I knew her best from Columbus, Ohio, when Larry and her were first dateing. Always a smile,always ready to help, always wanted to be a mother.  After the move to Arizona, the kids started arriving, and pictures and a song for each of them came to our cabin in Minnesota.  Her smile was always brighter,and altough we were so far away, and our lives so different, we were always family. God bless you all, and may peace grace your hearts. Wow I am so sad to hear of this, I did not keep in touch with Suzanne after I left Albertsons, but I always remember her as a loving, sweet person whose main job was being a mom. She loved being a mom and having her kids with her. My deepsest thoughts and sympathy to her family.

I am so sorry for your loss Heather.  If there is anything I personally can do, please do not hesitate to ask.  Please know that I am always available as is your whole Sheriff's Office family during this time and always.

Suzanne was my best friend in Tucson.When she and Larry left I was so sad. I have made many friends since,but none better than Suzanne. I am so sorry to hear that she passed 
but my wonderful memories of Suzanne will forever be in  my heart. My heartfelt condolences to all of the family and may God bless each and every one of you.

The lyrics to a song I wrote when our marriage was strong (around our eighth anniversary):

I grieved the end of that relationship many years ago. I grieved it deeply and painfully. Suzanne is the mother of four of my children, so our lives have continued to be intertwined.  I believe that those children always have known how deeply they were loved by each of us. As life has moved on, God gave us the grace to treat each other with kindness and respect and I am very grateful that we could still develop and maintain a real friendship. She was a kind-hearted and gentle spirit who loved the simple things life had to offer. She loved her family deeply. No one who knew her could question that. It is good to know that she is free of the pain and health issues that plagued the last years of her life.  May she truly rest in peace.

What to say at such a sad time? The world has lost a gentle, kind and loving woman way too soon~ I suppose I can tell a special story. Around 1981
I was so lonely for a friend and someone for my 2 year old, Eric to play with. My husband was gone working all day and I was home with our first child.  One day this beautiful family, all with hats on, came walking down the street.  We had the only house on the street except for a house, just built, on the corner, right next to our's.  We met that day and have been very close friends, all these years. 
God blessed me with not only Elizabeth Suzanne Jones Brown, there were 2 little girls, Melissa and Katie and another baby on the way.....We became fast friends~Suzanne and I became inseperable right away. Lived right next door to one another and still called each other every night after we got our kids in bed. 

Soon came baby Todd, Suzanne's only son, and I had our baby girl, Amy~Our families were expanding! Weekends we went to the beach and the kids loved it.  Soon, we were both preggers again, Suzanne had a beautiful baby girl, who could have been "the Gerber Baby", Heather. Not too long after, I had another boy, Chad.  
So the years passed, the children grew up together, dance classes together, every halloween together, Christmas parties, Easter egg hunts, summer's at the beach, many, many Birthday parties and always music. We always started in June, with layaways for our children's Christmas's~  

Thirty plus years goes very fast~ Suzanne was always there for me; she was the best friend anyone would want to have. She always smiled~Just the little things in life made her happy. She loved telling stories of her time in Arizona and growing up in Ohio.  Her eyes always lit up when she spoke of her adult children and her beautiful grandchildren~ She was so proud of each and every one of them. She loved to go to get-togethers with family and friends.    

She was so proud of her big Brother, Jerry. She used to say, can you believe I have a brother who has a PhD?  She loved spending time with Jerry and his beautiful wife, Sherry. She spoke often of their daughter, Sara and her accomplishments. God Bless Jerry & Sherry for making sure everything was cared for.  I thank God, for Larry & Cathy, as they will be there, as always, for the children and grandchildren. 

Suzanne loved our children and my family so very much. She loved to talk about philosophy. She loved Art and Antiques.  Just picking a wild flower made her happy! Her last 8 years of life were centered around her Lizzy. She was such a selfless, giving woman. Suzanne was a free spirit, and her heart wide open.
God called this angel home too soon.....she was deeply loved by my family~there will never be another Suzanne for me.....I pray that Jerry, Sherry, Melissa, Katie, Todd, Heather, little Elizabeth "Lizzy", and their spouses, find comfort in Our Lord and each other and of course, the precious grandchildren.  
May her children always know how deeply loved they were and are! My best friend will remain inside of my heart all the days of my life, until we meet again. Love, Aunt Monica XOXO

I love and miss u so much grandma. I wish you were still here but you are in a better place now. I love you, you were the best grandma ever and I'm so thankful that you were there for me when I most needed you.
