Bobby and I played college football for the un of new haven. As a running back, we ran into each other often. I was a nose tackle. Bobby was anExceptional person he had a really fun way of looking at you and talking to you he was very outgoing and friendly he was a little shy at times but he really knew how to use a hammer he could build anything he’s a terrific guy the last time I talk to him he told me about his three sons and how much she loved him and how proud he was of those three kids hanging in his grandchildren also we all miss him very much here at University in New Haven we get together every fall season and we honor our people who passed he’s wonderful

May you rest in peace Bob spelt Bob. You were good hearted. I will miss bothering you + your sense of humor. Thanks for helping me. One of these days I'm going to make a tomato pie and think of you. xo

I met Bob after moving to Florida in 2011.
We had both lived in CT, so we had this State in common and became good friends. 
He was a great person; good hearted, helpful and a true friend.

Bobby will be missed, a friend to me, even after 20 years we shared a wonderful random meeting and it was old times all over again. my deepest condolences.

So sorry too hear about Bob's passing, many fond memories of our high school years and football. Bless the Holtz family for your loss, Bob will always be in my memory.

My heartfelt condolences to the Holtz children and family. As a member of CHS 73, I remember Bob as a friendly, funny, athletic... a really nice guy! There is a incredible sadness felt by all classmates for the passing of someone from our Wonder Years. Bob, you will be remembered, Rest In Peace, until we all have that big reunion in Heaven.

We became good friends during our CHS years and shared those memories and laughs especially at our HS reunions.  My heart breaks for the Holtz family and all his friends from Cheshire who love him. Heartfelt condolences to the Holtz family for Bob's passing. Like many here, I also was Bob's classmate and friend from Norton School Kindergarten thru CHS graduation. Bob was a solid guy who would light up the group with his sense of fun, most recently at our last CHS Class of 1973 reunion. I'll miss him.

Just a heart FULL of warm memories from our childhood together and every time I would see him at our class reunions... my heart is also breaking for his family and friends... until you meet again...

To the Holtz family - along with a lot of other wonderful friends from Cheshire who are devastated by this news, Bob & I were little kids who grew up in the same classes together at Norton School Elementary. He was always solid and goodhearted, even back then. I also remember how great he was at sports - Bob could do anything.  But most of all when I think about him, it's that he always showed up. I know if he could still show up for all of you, he would. He just really loved you all so much, and he talked about you all the time. He was so proud of his kids. Saying how sorry I feel, just doesn't come close to how I really feel. I'm just lucky to have known him in life. Sending you all my love - Helen

My deepest condolences on the loss of Bob. I was a classmate of his at Cheshire High, and we took a summer job together in 73' at the Pratt & Whitney Plant in North Haven, CT. He was a great guy! I also knew Ed, whomst worked with my Dad... Fran Egan, for many years at the same Pratt facility. My thoughts are with all of you...
