Michael Edward Cullen

Michael E. Cullen, age 70, of Fort Myers passed away Tuesday, December 15, 2015. He was born in Platteville, WI on April 2, 1945 to Edward and Mary Lucille Cullen. He graduated in 1967 from the University of Wisconsin – Platteville with a degree in Business Administration.

Michael married Lori Zaborowski in Rancho Palos Verdes, CA on January 23, 1993. He retired from the federal government on July 1, 2008 after 41 years of service including time spent in the Air Force. He was an avid bridge player and loved to play golf.

He was preceded in death by his parents. Michael is survived by his wife, Lori; stepson, Ted Zaborowski; granddaughter, Bryanna Zaborowski; siblings, Charles Cullen, Dennis (Margo) Cullen, Kay (Craig) Wantoch, Timothy (Barb) Cullen, Kent Cullen, Marian Verclytte and Randall (Gina) Cullen; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated 1:30 pm Monday, December 28, 2015 at St. John XXIII Catholic Church 13060 Palomino Ln. Fort Myers. Interment will follow in the church’s memorial garden. The celebration of Michael's life will continue at Fiddlesticks Country Club immediately following the service.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Michael’s name would be appreciated to St. John XXIII Catholic Church, the Bobby Nichols Fiddlesticks Charity Foundation or to the charity of your choice.
