Gina Leeber, born Gina Luigia Garzia, 72, from the Bronx, NY, passed away Saturday, November 19, 2022. Gina grew up in New York and met her husband, Tony Leopardi, when she was only 15 years old. They were married in 1967 and quickly added 6 children to their family. In 1992, Tony and Gina moved their family to Ft. Myers, Florida where Gina was well known in the community for being Mrs. Cornerstone. Gina was a talented author and chef, who had three books published, An Adoption Story, Journey Mouserella, and Mama Gina’s Cookbook. She was well known by family and friends for her incredible skills in the kitchen. Gina also loved the beach, history, all things science fiction, but mostly she passionately loved her family and Jesus Christ. Gina fiercely loved her 6 children, their spouses, her 20 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Gina’s greatest desire was to see her family passionately following Jesus Christ.
Gina is survived by her beloved spouse of 55 years, Tony Leopardi, her children, Maria Dow, Tony Leeber, Jr., Gina Dorman, Annmarie Tully, Christina Cooke, and Nicole Cook, as well as 19 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren, her sisters Connie Pizzuro and Joan Rizzo, along with many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Maria Garzia, her father, Ciro Garzia, her grandson Tyler Tully, and great Grandson Gabriel de Silva.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11am on Saturday, November 26, 2022 at McGregor Baptist Church, Ft. Myers, FL.
