Ms. Mann (or Ms. Reany as I knew her) was a beautiful person.  She taught me how to read music, a skill that I still have to this day! I played French Horn in her band at Diplomat Middle School from 2001-2004. I’m an adult now, but will never forget all that she taught me. Her legacy lives on in so many of her students. My condolences to her family.

I never really knew Linda Mann, but my brother had her as his band teacher and all of that I knew her, she was a great, wonderful, and funny person. I hope the best for her parents, and she was such an inspiration to everyone, and not just a band teacher, a friend.

Happy birthday Ms.Mann

I'm speaking for Diplomat Middle even though I never met her I heard she was a legend through band, and today I play for her name

I have never met Ms. Mann, and for that I am regretful. I have seen her conduct, and it was an amazing experience. I am honored to have played a song written by Jack Stamp in her honor, Waiting for the Sunlight.

Although I have never gotten to meet Ms. Mann in person, I am very honored to have played the song dedicated after her in her legacy, "Live On." As a member of the All-County band, I am very happy to have played it for the first time ever in front of her family and friends.

I would like to say that she was a great and very cheerful person. I am in All County band preforming the song in her honor, "Live on". First band to preform it. She as a great friend.

Thanks Ms. Mann for teaching about the wonders of music. Because of you, I now know how to be a percussionist and a part-time conductor. Thank you so much. God bless you and you'r family. :)

I also Want to say Thanks to Ms. mann for Teaching me, and to Mr. Mann thanks for all that you have done with the band, and setting up scholarships for us. Also thanks Mrs. Crosby For taking us to MPA without her we wouldn't have had the opportunity to go

I am in her jazz in symphonic band and let me speak for everyone at Diplomat Middle she was the funniest, weird teacher she gave 100 and expected 100. I hope she was proud of our MPA

I worked as a substitute at Diplomat Middle School where Linda Mann taught Band to students who really loved her. Many days I sat next to this vibrant lady who amazed me with her love of teaching Band - she was appreciated on so many levels. Linda will be missed but she will be a lovely addition to Heaven's "Band of Angels."

Linda left her mark on this world.  I will always remember her laugh -  it's hard not to smile when you think of it.... (Right???, I bet you're doing it now).   She was an inspiration and the countless lives she has touched as she taught the gift of music, being a strong moral person, and doing what's right.  I am honored to be her friend.  Although I could not be at the celebration of life in person, I was with you in thought and prayer.  Mr. and Mrs. Mann, take every step with God and He will lead you through this.  With Love,  Rose 

I wish to express my condolences to Mr. and Mrs. Mann and Debbie and other loved ones. Linda touched many lives and influenced them all in a positive way. It only seems fitting that her legacy should live on in a scholarship in her name to better the lives of even more students in the years to come. The things I will always remember about Linda are her intense passion for music and Sabre Dance played on the Marimba. I will never be able to get Sabre Dance out of my head. Mr. and Mrs, Mann and Debbie (and Coda), I am so very sorry for your loss. Linda was a friend, mentor and inspiration to so many people during her life. I was among the many lucky ones to have known her. She will be missed by so many, but none more than her family. May she be with the Lord and the Lord be with all of you to help you through this great loss.

To the Mann Family and all those who loved Linda -  Please know that Linda touched everyone she met with her wonderful smile that lit up her whole face and with her love of music and life.  I am so sorry to hear of your loss and will fondly remember Linda forever as a special Lady.

There is no better word than "legacy" to describe the influence of Linda Mann on the lives of her friends, co-workers and students.  As a friend and colleague at school, I trusted and relied on her wisdom and leadership as my department head for two years. She always supported my programming by by bringing her classes to the media center for book fairs and dressing in costume for Celebrate Literacy Week!  As always, she took the lead in instilling leadership qualities in students by developing and implementing our school's first Student Leadership Team.  As a middle school band director, she instilled a life-long passion for music and excellence in her students which gave them identity at the stage of life when it is needed the most.
i am privileged to know and work with such a special person and beyond recognizing her many accomplishments, I will always remember her meaningful looks, her smile, and her infectious laugh that always brought joy to my heart and a smile to my face.  God bless you, Linda!

Linda was a kind person. Her smilies lit up everywhere. I am glad I got to know her. Linda will definitely be missed. My heart was full of love for her.

This is something that has probably hit me the hardest in my life so far. I found out that my middle school band director, Linda Mann, passed away 3 days ago on February 22. This woman assisted me on starting my journey of music, and had it not been for her I may not have stuck with band. She pushed me on the French Horn to be the best that I could even through high school when I saw her. When I wanted to do jazz band she encouraged me to do trombone and helped me every step of the way. She's an inspiration, role model, an example of a teach, and overall a great person. I'm glad that I could have been a student of hers and gained from her knowledge. Rest in Peace Ms. Mann. Your students will always love you.

I was so sorry to hear of Linda's passing. While I did not know Linda, I do know you and my love and prayers are with you all at this difficult time. I am sure those from our timeshare group share my sentiments.

Ms. Mann instilled the love of music in my son, Jake, when he was her student at Diplomat Middle. She encouraged me to keep encouraging him to keep playing the french horn. She also encouraged him to learn trombone. He is now a freshman in college and still involved with making music. It has brought him so much joy and changed his life. I will always be grateful to her for that, and will never forget her. She was a wonderful woman. She touched many kids (and parents) lives with her joy and love of Music. My deepest condolences. Please know how much she was loved. May she rest in peace.

I'm so sorry to hear of your family's loss... sending love and healing energy to all of you. I never personally met Linda, but her warm and supportive presence brought my goddaughter Mikaila (a band student last year) much comfort during some very difficult times. The approach to life that Mikaila inherited from Linda will be with her forever and I am so very grateful.

My condolences to Mr and Mrs Mann, and Debbie. My prayers are with you during this time of sorrow. May you find comfort in knowing what a wonderful daughter Linda has and always will be.

Linda Mann was a great inspiration for my son Jake. She was his judge at solo competition for the last two years. This year she was his director for Florida all-state middle school band. We were stunned to hear of her passing. She will be missed by many.

The few times I had the privilege to be with Linda, when she visited Deb, showed me the kindness she eminated and how much she loved you all. I know, since she worked with young people on a daily basis, that she influeced many lives in a very positive way. I pray it brings you comfort to know that her legacy will live on in the lives that she touched and the fact that the seed she planted will continue to bloom.

You were in inspiration a mentor and a powerful woman and most of all a wonderful band teacher to my daughter. Your presence in her life will be greatly missed. I know that heavens music is a little more brighter now because you were up there conducting a new wonderful band. My thoughts and prayers go out to Mr and Mrs mann your daughter has touched so many people in so many different ways she will be greatly missed.

To the Mann family - my former neighbors and forever friends...I want to express my deepest sympathy in the loss of your wonderful Linda.  We shared so many wonderful times together throughout the years and I will treasure those memories forever.  May the Lord hold you in his arms during this time of grief and may your memories live on forever.

She touched my son's life and he loves to play music. What an impact she had on so many people!! You will be truly missed!! There is a hole at Diplomat without you there!!
