Gregory Lyn Freeman

Gregory Lyn Freeman, age 62 of Lehigh Acres, Florida, passed away on Monday, June 1, 2015. He was born in Pratt, Kansas on October 7, 1952 to Jack Marlin Freeman and Lucine Willhite Freeman.

Greg is survived by his loving wife, Cristina; son Brye Freeman; 3 grandchildren Isabella, Skye Angelica and Slate; sisters Kathy and Jan; brother Terry; along with many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by both his parents, Jack and Lucine; his daughter, Chanty Elise Freeman Kent; and his brother Jay.

Like his Mom, Greg had a kind heart and loved his family. He was a humble man and would do his best to help anyone he could. Greg proudly served as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. While on one of his many travels he met his beautiful and caring wife, Cristina, at a Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Costa Rica, South America. Greg will be deeply missed by all.

There will be a memorial service on Friday, June 5, 2015 at 7:00 pm at Hodges Funeral Home at Lee Memorial Park, 12777 State Road 82, Fort Myers, FL 33913. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Greg’s honor to Barium Springs Home for Children, PO Box 1, Barium Springs, NC 28010 to assist children with mental illness.
