Dr. Emmanuel Eloi, also known as "Manno" was a beloved father, husband, grandfather, esteemed medical doctor, and devoted pastor. He passed away at the age of 70 on June 5, 2024, in Fort Myers, FL. He was born on January 12, 1953, in Leogane, Haiti to Sulfanie Justin Eloi and Joseph Esteril Eloi. Manno dedicated his life to serving others through his medical practice, podcast and ministry work.
Manno was a dedicated and hardworking man who spent over 35 years working as a family physician in his own private practice, where he was known for his kindness and strong work ethic. He was passionate about giving back to his community and volunteered for many years at community events and by creating his own weekly podcast to discuss health topics geared towards the Caribbean community. He participated in many charitable events through his nonprofit organizations, Dr. Emmanuel Eloi International Ministries and Charisma International Ministry Church of God.
His accomplishments were many, as he worked tirelessly to become a doctor and later a pastor at the age of 69, touching the lives of countless individuals along the way. Manno was known for his compassion, wisdom, and dedication to his faith. Other would say he always had a humble demeanor, was soft spoken and lived a modest life pursuing his passions. In addition to his professional achievements, Manno had a passion for learning new languages, he spoke 6 fluently, traveling, especially throughout Latin America, keeping up with politics, and discussing theology, with friends and family. He was a man of many talents and interests, always eager to expand his knowledge and engage with the world around him.
He is survived by his wife Lourdes StCloud-Eloi, daughters Stephanie StCloud (41) and Vanessa Eloi (39), his son Gennadi Eloi (35) and 2 grandchildren, Saniyah Kelly (13) and Carter Noel (5). He leaves behind his great aunt Dorcy Dorcena, his brothers Robert, Daniel Sr, Gerald and his sister Marie Lourdes. Many nieces and nephews, his long-time patients, and his church community. He also had a great support system that is worthy to be acknowledged, Claude Loiseau, Ms. Marie and Orlando. Thank you for being that friend he could always depend on. Dr. Emmanuel Eloi will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all those who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy of kindness, generosity, and faith will live on in the hearts of those who loved him. May he rest in peace.
A visitation for Emmanuel will be held Saturday, June 15, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Hodges Funeral Home at Lee Memorial Park, 12777 State Road 82, Fort Myers, FL 33913, followed by a funeral service from 4:00 PM.
