Daniel "Dan" Patrick Shannon

Daniel Shannon of Ithaca, NY passed away on January 2nd, 2020 in Fort Myers, Florida. Dan was born in Ithaca New York to Bob and Betty Shannon on Jan. 20 1964. He entered the world along with his identical twin brother David, they shared a deep connection that continued until David’s death in September 2019.

Dan graduated from Ithaca High School in 1982 and on April 25 1987 he married his middle school sweetheart Patti Rhodes Shannon. A few years later they moved to Ft Myers Florida and Dan started working in window sales learning the trade until he started his own company, Florida Wood Window and Door, in 1997.

Dan loved living in Florida and became a passionate fisherman committed to conserving the coastal waters and an active member of the CCA occasionally serving as president of the local chapter. He also loved hunting and recently was able to fulfil his lifelong dream of having his own hunting property and lodge in southern Georgia.

Above all Dan’s greatest joy was spending time with his friends and family especially his two boys Robert Daniel Shannon and Matthew Charles Shannon.

We miss him greatly and his memory will live on in all of us.

During this difficult time we are not planning on funeral services instead a celebration of his life will be planned in the future.
