A Celebration of Life is planned for6:00 on Friday, April 14, 2023 at the Kraeer-Fairchild Funeral Home, 4061 North Federal Highway, Fort Lauderdale, Florida for Dr. Stephen Leonard, DMD, age 71, who passed away Tuesday, March 14, 2023 in Fort Lauderdale.

Interment took place in Elmwood Cemetery in Birmingham, AL next to his parents Willis and Florence Leonard.

Steve graduated from Shades Valley High School in 1969. He attended the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa for his bachelor degree and then the University of Alabama in Birmingham where he graduated from the School of Dentistry. He served two years with the Public Health Service in Oklahoma on various Indian Reservations that support over 30 Tribes. He then set up private practice in Calera, AL for many years prior to retirement to Fort Lauderdale. In the following years Steve developed a large community of close friends and associates in the Fort Lauderdale area. He will be missed by all. He attended Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church led by Dr. James Kennedy and later the United Church of Christ in Fort Lauderdale.

Steve is survived by his brother, Donald, and nephews Scott and Jonathan Leonard, and niece Kristina Leonard, who will attend his service in Florida.
