Roderick Warren Williams, 39, originally from Trinidad in the West Indies, lately of Pompano Beach, Florida, passed away at 5:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 13, 2016. Warren was born in Port-of-Spain, Trinidad, on October 19, 1977, to his mother, Faye, and his father, Roderick. As a child, Warren enjoyed the dramatic arts and excelled at sports, including football and tennis. He was a victor ludorum at his elementary school sports meet in 1988. He graduated from Queen's Royal College in Port-of-Spain before moving to Florida, where he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and served from 1998-2002 working on power plant maintenance. His time in the military took him to Louisiana, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates. After serving in the Air Force, Warren continued his work in building systems maintenance, primarily in senior and assisted living facilities.
Warren had a passion for people. He cared deeply about others' happiness, including the residents at the facilities he served. He had a contagious positive and courageous spirit which sustained him throughout his life and inspired his family and friends.
Warren is survived by his father, Roderick (his mother, Faye, having passed away in 2010), his sisters Donna, Michelle, Giselle and Ria, his partner Ernesto, and his two dogs (his kiddos) Beau and Chapo.
Warren's family and friends will be celebrating his life at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, December 19, 2016, at Forest Lawn South Funeral Home, 2401 SW 64th Avenue, Davie, Florida.
Roderick will truly be missed.
