I have this great memory of watching a baseball game with Manolin and Sil, together they were trying to explain RBI's.  To this day each time I need a refresher on the meaning, I think of that day.  I will always remember Manolin's warmth and wonderful smile.

Silvia I am very sorry to hear about your dads passing.  Seems like yesterday he was sitting on your couch watching baseball while you were in the kitchen cooking your famous arroz con pollo and your mom and I were sneaking out front : ) Please send my love to the rest of your family. I am so sorry for your loss. I did not have the pleasure of meeting him as an adult,  but you are all very dear to my heart. My prayers are with your family.

I met him a couple if times, but that was more then enough to enjoy his great personality. Always smiling, loving and a great sense of humor. Raised wonderful daughters, and was a great family man. May you rest in peace and keep watch over your family from heaven. You will be missed but never forgotten.

I never know what to say in times like this, death is very hard for me as I know is hard for everyone specially his daughters and my Tia Silvia, but knowing that he's with God makes a little easier. Love you

My memories of Manolin are of a sweet man...always kind, always a gentleman. He always reminded me of my own dad, both soft on the outside but so tough on the inside. He will never be forgotten, instead remembered with much love and joyful memories by all those who had the pleasure of knowing him including myself.

My sympathy goes out to your and your family during this time. Wishing all of you peace and love knowing your father is in heaven.

Through my friendship with Mari I was fortunate to meet her immediate family. Although I didn't grow up with the Hernandez sisters, it was always a joy to hear stories of their upbringing and the special bond they shared with "Papi", as they called him.  May God grant his wife, Silvia and the family strength for these difficult times and help them to cherish the memories they were blessed with for many years with Manolin by their side.

Mr. Hernandez, for the short time that I was able to meet and talk to him, was absolutely full of life and brought a smile to my face. He was so sweet and loved to compliment others. I enjoyed his presence whenever I saw him and looked to him as a second grandfather despite the few times we were able to talk. I pray that he may be with the Lord in the glory of heaven :)

There are no words to heal the hole in your hearts or that can remove your deep sorrow at this time. Death brings about new and everlasting life, but to those left behind there are many tears and much sadness. May your memories sustain you during this difficult time of grief; may the love that surrounds you remind you that our loved ones always remain with us, deep in our hearts and may you lean on each other to find comfort and peace as you move forward in your grief. Manolin siempre estaras muy presente en mi vida por todas las gratas experiencias que compartimos en familia , te estare eternamente agradecido por integrarme a tu familia , un hombre sincero, honesto , sencillo todo un ejemplo; del cual ten la seguridad le platicare a mi nieto , tu bisnieto, le contare como te gustaba el Beisball , lo que te apacionaba hablar de Politica  pero sobre todo el excelente ser humano que me regalo su amistad y carinio , realmente me senti querido como a un hijo gracias de corazon, descansa en paz que Dios te bendiga !!!

I have such beautiful memories of your parents....your dad reminded me of my dad. He was so loving and mostly just the way you girls love him speaks volumes. I also remember something he told me once! About when he was dating your mom - it' s a story I just love and will share with you girls seperately. I've never forgotten it. 
God Bless him and may he rest in peace. Now he is your guardian angel- ALWAYS with you and no longer suffering.

Manolin, a man that would bring joy and happiness to any and all situations. A man that would put a smile on your face and a pain in your belly from laughing thru his jokes, quirky comments and observation of life. He was the first to make fun of himself, but protective when they made fun of someone he cared about. He was a gentle, loving and giving man to all that had the privilege of knowing him. I only knew of him getting mad about one thing, and I have known him for almost 30 yrs and that is he would get upset when he got full and could not eat more. I remember a lot of things about Manolin since knowing him for so long, but one incident stands out. During a stay at a hospital in Lauderdale, my family had to leave me alone and go to another hospital to be with my sister who was giving birth 2.5 hrs away. It was a tough time being alone post surgery but I would not allow my family to miss my Nephew being born. While laying in discomfort and torturing the nurses, this face lurked thru the door and had a huge smile on his face. He didn't show up because of obligation nor persuasion from his family. He showed up because that's how he was, caring. I spent the next 2-3 hrs laughing to the point of almost popping stitches. It was from him just telling me stories and sharing his experiences with that musical monotone voice of his. He made me forget about being lonely and in pain. I have never forgotten that time, he gave of himself for me. He will be missed but certainly never forgotten. Along with being a wonderful person and friend, he was an unbelievable loving Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather, In-Law and Marlin fan. Last but not least Son of God who he is now with rejoicing in his Glory. God bless you Manolin, and thank you for making this world a better place.

To all of Manolin's amazing Women. You are all living proof of what an Amazing Man he was. He was the happiest when all of his family was together. It brought him so much joy... My memories of him will always be happy ones. I especially enjoyed his company as an adult with my husband and kids. I can remember like it was yesterday when we were all on a tropical island and all of us lying on the beach chairs enjoying the breeze and the freshly cut coconuts with rum and saying ahaaaaa this is the life. Man what peace. 
  All I can say is that he is at peace right now and looking down on all of you. And he is thanking each and everyone on you for giving him all the love and care that you all gave him in his last days and hours. Treasure that because not everyone gets the chance! We love you ( Pepin and Irma )

Manuel was a great humble man, a great Family man with wisdom, courage and full of life and Love for his family. important values he believed in. May he rest in peace and may god always bless his Family.

It's so hard to put into words what I felt for Manolin, he was my cousin and yet I always called him "Tio". It used to bug him and I would never stop doing it, cause he was that for me and my brother. He will be truly missed and it will bring us comfort to know that he is up there with great company. May God have you in his glory, Tio.

Manuel was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother-in-law and friend anyone could ask for. He brought happiness to so many with his loving and caring personality. You knew better than talk about "His" Marlins or Family. He and his wife were so cute together with a love for each other ever lasting. He's at peace now and watching over everyone, You will be truly missed and forever remembered by all. with all our "LOVE" Pedro, Penny, Stephanie, Carissa, Randy and Christina.

I was very young the first time I met him. My family lived in Pittsburgh and we drove to Elizabeth to see the family. Silvia, his wife is my mother Sylvia's niece. We stayed with Tia Graciela but went to Silvia and Manolitos home for lunch. After, we went out, rode a bus to the city and went sight-seeing. It is a wonderful memory from my childhood. They were beyond kind to us. I remember the laughter and the fun we had. RIP you left a lasting memory for me.
