Luis Antonio Salazar

He was survived by his wife Gloria Martinez, two children Luis Camilo and Ana Maria and his three grandchildren Simon, Jaime and Matias. Luis Antonio was born in Colombia on December 28, 1942; his parents were Benjamin Salazar and Isabel Bernal. Luis had eleven siblings, Cecilia, Ines, Isabel, Gabriel, Jorge, Benjamin, Carlos Matilde, German, Isabel (Lolita) and Guillermo.

Luis studied in seminary school and military academy, was a furniture business owner and a builder. Luis lived in Colombia for 57 years then moved his family to Florida in 2000 where he lived for 16 years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and storytelling, but what he enjoyed the most was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Luis Antonio was a devoted husband and father, was generous and had a great sense of humor. Family and friends often refer to him as the professor of life. The family deeply appreciates the outpouring of sympathy and condolences received since his passing.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 4, 2016 from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm at 2401 Davie Road, Davie, Florida 33317 with a funeral religious service to follow Saturday March 5, 2016 at the Forest Lawn Chapel at 2:00 pm.
