Laura Arbulu known affectionately to some as Lala passed away March 24, 2025 at Five Star
Premier in Hollywood, FL after a long illness.
Laura was born on December 27, 1929 in the town of Puerto Eten, Peru. She moved to the
United States in 1963 to continue her education as a nurse. She subsequently became a
registered nurse and worked at Jackson Memorial Hospital until her retirement. Her
commitment to the well-being of others extended beyond the hospital walls to her involvement
in several women’s groups that did charitable work for children in Peru and Colombia. She
loved to travel and explored many parts of the world.
She is survived by children Ana Geletko (husband Raymond) Alberto Salazar (wife Kim),
Guillermo Salazar and Martha Adams (husband Thomas) all residents of Florida. Also sharing
in the loss are grandchildren Dustin, Shane, Mark, Danielle and Stephenie, in addition to
siblings Carlos Arbulu, Adolfo Arbulu and Elsa Quiroz and many nieces and nephews.
